Autocad Table Cell Font Changes depending on how it gets edited

In a table, if I double-click on a cell to edit its contents, the *appearance* of the font/size/style remains the same. But if I single-click on a cell and start typing, the *appearance* of the font/size/style changes. I emphasize that the appearance is what changes, because when I look at all other properties of the cell available to me, they remain identical. Please see screenshot below, where the lower cell is has the original appearance, and the upper cell is where I single-clicked and started typing and the appearance changed. Why does Autocad do this?

I would like for all of the cells to appear as the upper cell. However, I do not have time to re-type over all of the cells in the table. Using the "match cell" button has no effect.

I can repeat the problem in your table.

But if I add a new table using your tablestyle definitions the issue goes away. So there is some sort of override or source that I am unable to find that is causing that.

It appears this has something to do with originally being sourced from Excel. I can recreate the issue in a completely new drawing, by creating a table from a data link from Excel. Even after the table is created, after removing the data link from the table, and "removing all property overrides" (which also unexpectedly enlarges the table), the issue with the font still occurs. I could overlook this buggy behavior if I could apply a table style to correct the font to at least make them all uniform, but even that is not allowed.
