Ductwork fittings leave behind crazy coding when sending to other people. HELP

im using autocad MEP 2017. If I send out a DWG file to someone and they open it up, the ductwork fittings leave behind a whole bunch of crazy coding. This seems to happen when sent out to people using more recent versions of Autocad. please help me resolve this issue. See attached photo. Thank you
