Adding sheets and plotting in AutoCAD

Dear Sir,

Please suggest how to add number of sheets in Autocad.

I have to create 20 sheets and how to print these 20 sheets at a time.

Please provide me the guidance to do if it is possible.

Regards,

Narendra.

Do you have 20 title blocks per model?
Show us pictures of your screen or give your file.

Hi @Anonymous,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD Mechanical forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

There are a couple methods for doing this.

  1. You could create 20 layouts in a drawing.  Draft in model space and set each layout to the appropriate model space using viewports. These layouts can then be plotted from a single drawing. See AutoCAD How to Create Layouts - New Layout Tutorial

  2. You could created a different drawing file for each sheet, and create Sheet Sets, which can be plotted. See

Please let me know if this helped.

Hi Narendra,

Use Viewports to create drawing sheets from model space to paper space. Once you do that with title block. Select all 20 sheets on tabs, and right click publish these sheets only. It takes you to multi sheet publishing option. Give it drawing number and select folder. It will create pdf as 1 file. Please see attached pdf for step by step process with screenshots.

Ensure you have settings for pdf esp with lineweights taken off or someline will be very heavy.

Hope it helps.

Regards,

yash.

Hi Narendra,

Forgot to mention, you can add sheets by choosing from template on the tabs. you will be provided by 2 blank tabs as layout 1 and layout 2. but if not, right click on model space, and first option is from template. I am assuming you have set title blocks and templates pre existing.

Once Pdf is generated as 1 file with multiple sheets, you can print all as normal.

Regards,

Yash

Dear Madam,

I have attached two drawings templates in dwg format size A3.

Please explain me how to batch plot the two drawings.

If two drawing template dwg files are in same model  then is it possible to print two templates at a time or not.

Regards,

Narendra.
