I don’t understand why the software is written to only install/work when pointing to local folders or folders that are mapped. Folder redirection is such a standard practice these days in the enterprise world I don’t know why the software has issues when utilizing it. That is the overall issue. This is effecting all versions of Civil and Map 3D that we are currently using. I’m not sure who this needs to go to, but someone should make the software work utilizing folder redirection. Issue: When we use a non admin account with folder redirection to install the software and that’s when we had to change 3 registry values to C:\Temp in order for the Setup to run without any issues. It would not install when I changed it to G:\My Pictures. Once installed, the user couldn’t launch the program until I changed it the registry entry from \\servername\usersfolder\usersname\My Pictures to G:\My Pictures (which is mapped as a network drive). Then after it opens for the first time with that change it opens without issue as either \\servername\usersfolder\usersname\My Pictures or G:\My Pictures. Due to folder redirection, it is auto changed back to \\servername\usersfolder\usersname\My Pictures upon login. For more info, see CaseNo:15489204.
