An option in Sheet Set Manger to allow external files to be added as shortcuts.
If my set of drawing has 10 Map 3D files and 5 ArcMap files, the 5 ArcMap files are not in my sheet set.
It would be nice if you could choose to add an external sheet.
By having an external external sheet option, it simply turns that sheet into a shortcut to that external file. This way you could add any other files to you sheet set. Surfer, ESRI ArcMap, Global Mapper, etc.
