WFS Connection Issue

Hi,

Having an issue viewing data when successfully connected to WFS.  Connection is ok, however there is no data showing.  See below.

I can connect successfully to service using QGIS - see screen shot below.  I've just tried using the 2019 release and still no joy!!

I have found a limitation with WFS and MAP here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-map-3d/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...

Not sure if it is relevant.

Any clues?

Cheers,

Michael.

The first url is not correctly formed. It requires a questionmark in front of the operation term 'request'
WFSServer?request=GetCapabilities&service=WFS

Hello Brigitte,

I've really tried, but the results don't change. In your *.dwg  I at least could see the Schema of the connection. But the are not selectable, as I remeber it from other WFS Layers... I hope you understand my issue.

And if I try again to connect by myself, with "Invert Axis" checked, I don't even get anything to choose from.

Hi

We are on 2018 and are having the same issues.

The Getcapabilities requests are working in a browser:

https://geoportal.umwelt.sachsen.de/arcgis/services/natur/issand_lebensraumtypen/MapServer/WFSServer...

https://geoportal.umwelt.sachsen.de/arcgis/services/natur/issand_lebensraumtypen/MapServer/WFSServer...

with or without the parameter version=2.0.0

Map3D 2018 is not showing the "layers" (featuretypes) in the Add data to Map dialog.

It seems it cannot read or parse the GetCapabilities document.

Idem for the other WFS:

https://geoportal.umwelt.sachsen.de/arcgis/services/natur/natura2000/MapServer/WFSServer?request=Get...

Was there a fix for MAP2018 and if so, please where can we find it?

tx

Luc

The Hotfix for Map 3D 2020 now allows to read the schema ONLY from "public" WFS layers published by Esri ArcGIS (post 10.6.1). If the WFS service was not shared as Public (Owner or Organization level) - the WFS provider generates error (see below)

Failed to connect.

Failed to open FDO connection.

The HTTP request generated an unacceptable response by the server.

The HTTP request attempted to connect to a non WFS server.

The error indicates that the provider is trying to access the service using HTTP.

Is there a solution to support WFS services that are not shared with Public? There are security concerns . Please advise

Hi there,

this thread is already a bit older, but I have an issue with connecting to a WFS using map3d 2024.

This is the URL:

service.gdi-sh.de/SH_INSPIREDOWNLOAD_AI_CP_ALKIS?service=WFS&version=2.0.0&request=getCapabilities

The connection is established but the layers are not visible due to an error message concerning the syntax.

Am I doing something wrong?

I would be very greatful for some advice.

Kind Regards

Hi @f_bendsen,

Sorry to hear that you have trouble with ALKIS WFS data in Map 3D 2024.

This data hasn't been around for long time specially since ALKIS Geoinfodoc 7.1.2 is mandatory for year 2024.

Our team has been responded to this, and if you use the WFS in current version of Map 3D 2025 the WFS Data are readable as expected.
Strange is only that we have only Feature with Flurstücke and Katasterbezirke for Schleswig-Holstein. Most of the other federal states in general there are also Gebäude und Nutzungsarten available.

Please be aware of the following article and do not load all Flurstücke of Schleswig Holstein at once.

Add the feature layer with request to the map (drawing) like described in the following article:

Adding WFS layers in AutoCAD Map 3D or Civil 3D either loads forever or results in Time Out

Hope that help and have a nice week
Regards

Brigitte
