About 3D Modeling You'd better contact the basic AutoCAD forum - https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/autocad-forum/bd-p/706.
They know much better about 3D modeling.
Here, the forum is not for 3D modeling, but a mapping vertical application - Map 3D.
Perhaps you need to make a sphere of the desired diameter, put it on the end of the nut, and trim the nut.
If can help you ! A lisp for nut in DIN dimension.
You can adapt it with your dimension for your coupling nut
I like this idea. Attached is the dwg with the sphere. Now what?
I've tried TRIM, SLICE, and SUBTRACT but not getting it.

Thank you for my training in 3D modeling! 🙂
But it is clearly better to ask advice from long-knowledgeable specialists about 3D modeling - on the basic AutoCAD forum.
