Is there a way to change Xref file name for multiple drawings without opening all of them ?

I Xrefed many drawings then had to change the xref file name so the drawings can't read it now.
Tried using reference manager but it can only change the path not the file name.
Do anyone have an idea to solve this issue with LISP or Script ?
This question has been asked 4 years before but no solution.

Changed the actual DWG file names? And they are still showing as XREFs (but missing) in the top file?

Then you can use the REFERENCE MANAGER to reselect each source file name: does that work?

To do it across more top files, do you have a before/after list of names for those external files. I see lots of LISP that get close to what you want all over the web (not sure where you only saw a 4-year old post), here is one that looks promising (more above and below it)

Sorry for the late response.
The LISP you mentioned above worked quite well, thank you very much.
Reference manager help only if i want to change the Path of the file not to Xref different file from what i understand.
