Ok... So our geologists work on IHS Kingdom . . . and we have to take that information and turn it into an AutoCAD basemap . . . We know several ways to do this, but there has GOT to be a better way.
I've tried just copying a spreadsheet from Kingdom into an Excel file and making a datalink to AutoCAD 2015 Map 3D, but it just sits there "thinking" and never completes the task.
The other drafter has a successful method where he takes the Spreadsheet from Kingdom into an Excel file, and uses ArcMap to make a shape file for AutoCAD to use.
But once again, there has got to be some way better to do this. Also, the way he makes a shape file for the coordinates, there's no way for it to automatically update when changes are made on Kingdom (though I am less concerned about updating than just plain finding a better way to do this.)
