Hi,

Just to let you know I am a complete novice to AutoCAD Map 3D.

I've created a contour layer from an ASC file (UK Environment Agency Lidar), these are polylines and I can see from their feature properties that they have elevation values.

Is there a way I can export these contours to AutoCAD, Revit and/or sketchup. Whenever I export or save as a DWG or DXF the contours are all coming out with a Z value of 0.

Do i somehow need to trabslate the elevation properties to a Z value?

If you already have the polylines in your drawing with the elevation properties, one way to generate polylines with the the corrected z value is to use a query which is shown here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad-map-3d/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/H...

Alternatively, and potentially more simply, you could create a new surface and Add a DEM File and set the Files of Type to *.asc.
