dragging and dropping

I used to be able to drag and drop a georeferenced polyline from one .dwg to another. Now I get stopped by an "AutoCAD Map Messages" window that jams everything up just to remind me that one of my attached .dwgs cannot be saved back. This is infuriating because it means I now have to attach the source .dwg and query in the stupid polyline instead of simply dragging and dropping it into the new .dwg. Please make it stop. Thanks.

Hi @Anonymous,

seems not to be a general behavior it works in my environment with Windows 10 and Map 3D 2019/2020.

It happens with all DWGs/objects (create new DWG with one line and try to drop it to new empty DWG), just to narrow down that it is not related to data.

Are there any changes in Map 3D or the environment?

Could be that there are some settings changed and I see the following general ideas to find the cause.

  • Run Express Tools _.sysvdlg command and save the file. Compare it with the attached general settings of variables in Map 3D 2020.
  • Reset the Map 3D profile settings to Default.
  • Start Map 3D from Icon using right mouse click - start as Administrator (to avoid being permission issue)

Regards

Brigitte
