Data table: "Zoom to objects" with which zoom-size?

When I'm clicking through the "data table" with enabled option "zoom to selected object", I have different results: (see attachments)

- for "pipes" (line element), the zoom factor is "fit entire object to screen": That makes sense ..

- for "armature" (point object), the zoom factor is "fit object to a part of the screen". Fine, I can see the object and the environment

- for "fountain", the zoom factor is "fit entire object to screen". That's nonsense, because I see a huge black spot on my screen and nothing else.

Can this zoom factor be influenced in some way?

Those are hard coded and you have no access to control them in the program sadly: give Autodesk feedback here about it all https://www.autodesk.com/company/contact-us/product-feedback

There's a subtle, very subtle, relationship between the Auto-Zoom button and the individual rows in the table. A Blue Outline surrounding the Auto-Zoom button is either toggled ON or toggled OFF (see image-1).

1-Auto-Zoom button does not have a blue outline.1-Auto-Zoom button does not have a blue outline.

While in your table view, you can click directly on top of the 'Auto-Zoom' button. When you do, a Blue Outline surrounding the button will appear. Click it again and the outline toggles OFF. When the outline is ON, you will zoom-in on the entity provided you click inside the extreme left column (see image-2). When you are zoomed out, and the outline is toogled OFF, you will highlight the entity without zooming in.

2-Auto-Zoom button displays a blue outline so the zoom-in feature is ON.2-Auto-Zoom button displays a blue outline so the zoom-in feature is ON.

@ChicagoLooper

thanks, that's a very precise description of this feature.

But I think that is exactly what I've done, and at the moment I don't see how it explains the different zoom factor I showed in my images.
