i want bulk copy of Arc Sde data or SDF to Orcale. I have create oracle connection and service name but when i export meata data from arcsde Or SDf and when import to oracle connection in schema editor error is as below :

 

Cannot apply feature schema 'FdoACADGIS' to datastore 'ACADGIS'; datastore has no FDO metadata tables (f_schemainfo, etc.)

Hi,

 

as far as I know you need to have a Map-compatible schema in Oracle in order to bulk-copy to Oracle.

If you have a non-Map Oracle schema it will not work.

You can create a Map-compatible schema with Map (is described in Map help). A Map compatible schema has additional tables for metadata.

 

If you have a non-Map schema in Oracle you might need to choose a different approach to copy Map data into Oracle (for instance export as SHP files and use Oracle or non - Oracle tools for loading SHP files into Oracle).

Hi,

 

is it too much to start your postings with "Hi", "Hello" or whatever you prefer. And wouldn't it be nice to reply with something like" thank you for your reply"? And wouldn't it be nice if you did some work on your own as I mentioned Map help describes how to create a Map Oracle schema/user?
