Hi all, I have a complex drawing that the client would like a 2D version of. I have tried using 'flatten' but is taking an enormous amount of time to process some of the layers with multiple points. The file size is 58mb.
I am using a high end workstation with 64gb RAM , Xeon processor, Quadro RTX 4000 etc so should be able to handle the size ?
Help !!

In _MAPCLEAN you can convert 3D polylines to polylines.
Try SuperFlatten.

Sorry, I cant get the superflatten to run. I am using Map 3D 2015, is that a problem ?
Now ran Superflatten in 2014 and 2018 - all Z's became 0.
Command: *Cancel*
Command: SUPERFLATTEN
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 16 found
Select objects:
Analyzing selection... \
Current options: Rename=Unspecified Explodable=No Overkill=Yes Proxies=No
No proxies selected.
SuperFlatten options [Rename blocks/Explodable blocks/Overkill/Proxies] < >:
Select Overkill and Enter.
Would be possible to provide more info? Can you also upload some screenshots?
If I were to guess, it's not your RAM, your processor, your graphics card or file size (55MB is not big by today's standards). It's something else. What kind of 'objects' besides vanilla Cad objects are in the dwg?
Also, can you upload a screenshots of the top view and other views too? To get different views of modelspace quickly, use the view cube.

I tried to do by means of Map 3D - through a query - z0.qry. And it works.
But this is the first time I've tried it, and maybe there is something unnecessary or wrong in the query. Nevertheless, the Z of almost all types of primitives becomes 0.
The most inconvenient and incomprehensible thing is that I haven't found a way to account for 3D polylines in the query.
Yes, can first convert them to polylines in _MAPCLEAN, and then run the query.
But this complicates, lengthens the process.
(The z0.qry.txt must have ".txt" removed - I added it to be able to attach it to the message)
