About Shortest Path through api

hi...

like i could find the shortestpath in vba through sendcommand...but some how i'm not satisfied with this...
is there any other way to find shortest path thru vba using api...like i could find one function in lisp programming about finding the shortest path...in the same way, is there any function seperately in vba also...i would like to know...i have gone thru help files but i couldn't find it...
so please help me in solving this problem.
