WANT PLOT SCALE TO SHOW UP IN LAYOUTS

I JUST GOT AUTOCAD LT 2010 AND WANT THE SCALE USED TO BE SHOWN ON THE DRAWING WHEN I PRINT FROM LAYOUT.
THE PLOT SCALE SHOWN IN THE PLOT STAMP IS 1:1.
I THOUGHT THERE WAS A WAY TO USE THE "INSERT FIELD"
I ALSO THOUGHT IT WOULD AUTOMATICALLY UPDATE IF YOU ZOOMED IN OR OUT.
THANKS,
LEO

I HAVE INSERTED THE FIELD "PLOT SCALE" TO A RANDOM SPOT ON THE LAYOUT BUT IT DOES NOT SHOW THE SCALE I HAVE SET FOR MY VEIWPORT (1:30,OR 1:50).
ANOTHER EXAMPLE WOULD BE IF I CHANGED THE PAPER SIZE AND HAD TO CHANGE THE SCALE TO MAKE IT FIT I WOULD WANT THE DRAWING TO SHOW THE TRUE SCALE THE DRAWING WAS PRINTED AT.
IN MODEL SPACE I HAVE THE SCALE THE DRAWING IS PRINTED IN THE PLOT STAMP. WHEN I PRINT FROM A LAYOUT IT SHOWS 1:1
I WORK IN CIVIL CONSTRUCTION. MANY TIMES THE DRAWING THAT I GET BUILD FROM ARE 1":50' OR 1":100' . TO GET THE WHOLE PROJECT ON A SHEET. IF MY CREW IS ONLY WORKING ON A SECTION OF THE JOB I WOULD CHANGE THE SCALE AND PRINT THE AREA THEY NEED SO IT IS EASIER TO READ.
THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

Maybe this is oversimplifying it, but I would just put a graphic scale in each viewport.
