Unable to insert Images

I am currently unable to insert images into my drawings on LT 2018. I have tried a variety of images with the same result. Also into Paper space and model space.

I notice the same problem is occuring with my old 2009 software and also old files with inserted images aren't displaying.

I did try inserting an image into a MS word document, in case that was relevant, and it did work.

Any possible solutions appreciated.

What command are you using?

Are you trying to insert them onto a layer which is switched off?

I have just opened up a new drawing and attempted to insert image still nothing. (All layers on)

Have you chosen the insertion point of the image?

Can you post a Screencast so we can see the steps you're going through.

IMAGEATTACH is the command name: type it, hit <enter>, explain each step you take after that until you say it disappears. Watch your commandline for information, make sure it is taller than 3-lines first.

No, I need you to attach the actual image file, as a file attachment, this is not about content, it is about the actual file so I can replicate the image attachment.

That's not a file from the folder in your video

The one you just posted works fine here

What does ABOUT command report your 2018 version to be exactly? Post a screenshot of that pop-up.

Mysteriously the attach feature has started working fine. I can only assume it

was an issue with my computer as it only stopped working for a few days.

Thank you to anyone who took the trouble to try and resolve the problem.

This morning upon opening a drawing file with previously successfully inserted jpeg images (2) I found that only

an outline and folder address was displayed. I tried to load the images in the normal way but came up with an error message so tried changing the file name and they inserted successfully

If anyone has experienced anything similar and may know the reason I would be grateful for your advice.

Did you move the source JPG files or move your DWG? That's the problem you are describing.
