Howdy all

I was wondering (hoping), there was a quick select that allowed me to disable this rather annoying pop up i get when I select all and change everything to a selected layer, excluding the layers i have frozen. I use AutoCAD LT 2025

Any advice welcome....

One sure method would be to unlock all layers

The warning is about locked layers. Your question is about frozen layers. Please clarify.

@jeffK9B4B Are you by chance new to AutoCAD in general if I may ask? The alert says LOCKED layers, not "frozen" layers, two different items

Or are you just anting all pop-ups to disappear forever because you, like most of us here, know what you are doing and don't need the program to remind you all the time? Sadly, if you don't find a setting in the EXPERT System Variable for this latter need, it does no exist in the program.

If you wish to find a selection method or tool that will filter locked layers for you (frozen are always ignored, nothing special is needed), you'll have to customize with LISP code that you write yourself in LT2025 if someone does not have something like this written, then load and use that (and never a core selection tool) all the time. At a quick glance, I'm not sure QSELECT or FILTER commands do that.

Thanks all for your messages, but it seems I didn't know the difference between FREZZE and LOCK layer.....now I do.

Once I froze the layer and then did SELECT ALL -> change layer to preferred layer, that pop up message did not appear.

Happy days!!
