hello
so my organization uses onedrive for our work and we often end up opening the same file on autocadLT for mac and autocad LT for windows.
i have noticed that when opening and editing a file on the windows version, it wont save and overwrite the existing file, instead, it would save a new file and add the PC name to it. making it really annoying when dealing cross platform like this as i would sometimes open the wrong file on mac and find out that the changes made on windows are not in it.
how do i make it so that when i use the windows version to open a file made on MAC, it saves to the same file instead of creating a new one?
thanks

There is no such ability as "syncing" on OneDrive in AutoCAD sadly. You appears to be having a OneDrive individual user log-in abilities/file settings issue, perhaps a file or folder sharing setting? In line with these OneDrive options
Have you tried inquiring in the Microsoft user forums for this OneDrive challenge yet
https://techcommunity.microsoft.com/t5/onedrive/bd-p/OneDriveforBusiness (assuming you are running OneDrive for Business and not the free-for-all consumer version).
Q: AutoCAD does not have the ability to allow multiple users to open/edit one single DWG file simultaneously: is that by chance your expectation?
hi, no the expectation is not to have multiple users open the same file at once. but have users of different operating systems be able to update the same file. thanks for the information, i will look into it
