Strange spacebar and mouse behavior - keystroke duplicated

Hi, I tried to find any related post and didn't found anything related to my issue.

The issue : When I input a command and hit the spacebar while moving the cursor, the key for the command is duplicated. For exemple "a" for ARC, even though I hit "A" and the spacebar once I get this :

Command: a ARC
Specify start point of arc or [Center]: a

I don't know if it's an issue with my computer or my AutoCAD, or both, or if it's a bug in AutoCAD.

If any of you have experienced this issue and know how to solve it, it would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Do you mean that second A when it asks you for a start point?
What changed on your PC or mouse or keyboard recently? Or get new drivers?
Which AutoCAD/LT version are you using as listed in ABOUT command?
What is your OS?

Did you trying restarting your PC yet?

What changed on your PC or mouse or keyboard recently? Or get new drivers?  Nothing
Which AutoCAD/LT version are you using as listed in ABOUT command? R.47.0.0 AutoCAD LT 2021
What is your OS? Windows 7

I tried with AutoCAD 2020 and 2019 and in both of them the issue exist.

I tried another mouse/keyboard combo and it's still there.

I tried another computer and it doesn't have the issue, so definitely  my PC.

I tried other software but as far as I can notice it doesn't happen with them.

What happen is that the spacebar/enter doesn't register until i stop moving the mouse, and when I do it also add the last key I pressed before spacebar/enter.

And here something else, it doesn't happen for every command. From what I can observe, only the commands from the "Draw" toolbar.

Does the extra letter interfere with the command?
Win7 no longer updates from Microsoft, but perhaps your mouse/keyboard windriver did?
Is the other PC also running Win7?

I no longer have Win7, in Win10 with LT2021/T2020/LT2019 I am unable to replicate the issue at all.

Is the other PC also running Win7? Win10, forgot to mention it.

Seeing that it's most probably either my computer, or Windows 7, or a combination of both, it's something I can live with it until I get my new PC with Win10 (eventually 😬).

Still don't know what is causing this unusual behavior, but I don't think we'll ever know.

Thank you for your time.

If you turn off DYNMODE, does the issue go away?
What is your INPUTSEARCHDELAY variable set to?
INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS variable?

What is your INPUTSEARCHDELAY variable set to? 500. I tried 100 and 10000. No dice.
INPUTSEARCHOPTIONS variable? Everything was on, tried everything off, still there.

I though about those too. Tried to also look into cursor settings, graphics, drafting, selection.

Well... this is embarrassing.

I tried everything except one thing, rebooting the computer.

And it fixed it.

It crowd would be ashamed.
