Remedy for splined polylines not showing dashes?

How can I get splined polylines to display dashes consistently? When I adjust the LTSCALE, the dashes appear only inconsistently - some parts dashed, some parts not. I've also tried PLINEGEN. Does anyone know a work around for this? I just want even dashes along a splined polyline. Thanks.

would it help to convert the spline to a pline:

@erikflatmo ... or change the linetype scale of the spline, it may help.

With SPLINEs you have to understand the spacing between the "points" of that spline and the space your fixed-spacing dashed line needs to display; it requires a lot of manipulation.

Consider trying the linetype DASHED2 vs just using DASHED as well (the former is coded to be shorter).

I am drawing electrical circuits. At this point I have to go in and
manually draw the dashes as little arcs for each “dashed” spline.

@erikflatmo Can you show us an image of what you're wanting to achieve. The spline not selected in the image below has a linetype scale of 0.2 and as you can see both it and the selected spline show dashes quite well

Here are ARCS that look great. But you can see the two SPLINES do not show even or consistent dashes. This is the LTSCALE adjusted.

LTSCALE does not work for me in this case - either the dashes are too small or irregular. See my example below. Thanks

There is none is the spacing between your SPLINE "points" are too short for your chosen linetype. Try a different or shorter linetype, for example DASHED2 is shorter spacing than DASHED, or space out your spline point further.

You're fighting a SPLINE limitation that's not truly fixable.

Share your actual DWG file for someone to help you out with your own content.
