Reference drawing number (filed text) to a differner drawing

I would like to automate the process of updating drawing numbers shown on one drawing which is referenced on another drawing.

For example: I have a General Arrangement Plan (C02) showing the entire job. Now I have little boxes shown on the General Arrangement Plan referring to the more detailed drawings like an Intersection Plan (C10). On my General Arrangement Plan I would like to show a text like 'Refer to Intersection Plan C10'. 

If there is a drawing added to the planset before C10, I have to manually update the text 'Refer to Intersection Plan C10' to 'Refer to Intersection Plan C11'. This is a very time consuming process and it is easy to miss a reference if there are many on different sheets. 

Is there a better way of automating this process?

Not in LT. You might be able to do it in full, but I don't know if you can.

If you are using sheet set manager the text in your drawing that says "Refer to sheet C10" the C10 could be a field that displays the sheet number from the sheet set manager and it would update when you updated the sheet numbers in the sheet set manager.

Thank you for your reply. I am using the sheet set manager. To my
understanding the field for the sheet numbering only works in relation to
the current sheet (in my example the C2 for the General Arrangement Plan),
but not to a sheet number of a different drawing sheet like C10 for the
Intersection Plan.

When editing the text click on the Field button on the ribbon then choose the Field Category SheetSet, then select the sheet set in the middle column and then the sheet you want to refer to. Then on the right column under Property select Sheet Number
