Problem with language settings

I have a customer who has made old drawings with Japanese language setting. Now with Acad lt 2015 when they open the old files all text is boxes and questionmarks... I noticed that if I change Computer language settings to Japanese the drawings work correctly, but I cannot leave Computer in Japan setting because they have to use English settings because of other programs.

So is there some way to start program in a way that it opens those old files correctly? (file format is dxf)

Welcome to the Forums

Do you have the correct font installed on your machine?

A lot of question marks and boxes usually means AutoCAD cannot find the correct font.

DXF? Why DXF/ Why not DWG?

>>>... if Computer region and language is changed to japanese...<<<
That is what is required to it all to work.

Are these SHX or TTF fonts? TTF fonts need to be installed in WIndows.
Big Fonts are often used too: as noted by others, ?? marks and boxes most likely means the bigfont is not being found.

You could speed up the review by posting your DXF font along with the fonts it needs to confirm.
