Plotter problem with Windows 10

Hi all

I have a desktop subscription for AC 2016 LT, my operating system is Windows 10 64 bit and my plotter is a HP Designjet 500 Plus 24.  I have been using this plotter for years with no problem via AC 2011 which was a hard copy rather than subscription, however as soon as I changed over and downloaded my new software I am unable to plot from AC 2016.

I can use the plotter from other programmes but not AC 2016, if anyone has had similar issues and knows a fix it would be very much appreciated?

Many thanks

Dean

Search around here: Win10 kills your old plotter with AutoCAD.
Search the print-plot forum, quite a few workarounds are posted http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/printing-and-plotting/bd-p/30

Hi d3anc and welcome to the forums!

As @pendean's post indicates, there are known issues with AutoCAD and HP plotters in Windows 10. Until these issues are remedied, I suggest that you check out the link he provided in his post.

One workaround is to print to PDF in AutoCAD and then send the PDFs to your plotter. While this is an extra step, it does create the output you desire.

Some folks have also installed HPGL drivers in AutoCAD to plot straight to the plotter but this might limit the featureset available during the plot setup.

Please hit the Accept as Solution button if my post fully solves your issue or answers your question.
