PDF in 4 seconds [AutoCADLT created]

A job I drew this morning [dwg], when printed to PDF, found the PDF opens, displays as it should, but closes in 4 seconds.

I rebooted a number of times, updated adobe, problem still exists.

Sent the PDF to a tech guy, he said it opens ok his end.

EXPERIMENTS

  1. Opened PDF from old 2015 job... works fine. And any existing PDF works fine.
  2. made new AutoCAD  drawing [simple], from AcadLT2025... plot PDF... did not work, shuts down in seconds
  3. Created a simple WORD document to test... print to PDF... worked fine.

The issue is only with AutoCAD LT 2025 [been using 2025 some months now no problems]. It just appeared out of nowhere this morning.

Any ideas?

SOLUTION FOUND

In PDF reader, MENU/HELP/REPAIR INSTALLATION.... follow prompts.

Hope that helps someone... Have a great day!

Solution I gave last post, worked for a day or two. The problem has returned. It only happens with PDF documents created in AutoCADLT_2025. Printer is "DWG to PDF.pc3"   Is anyone else experiencing this?

My tech guy reloaded Adobe PDF reader. Yet problem remains, but only with recent PDF's cretaed in Acad2025LT. Older PDF documents work fine. PDF's created in other programs work fine, so, i am suspecting the glitch is in AutoCADLT2025?

Don't use the DWG to PDF.pc3 file. Try using the ADOBE PDF printer instead (highlighted in the image below)

Thank you. But no Adobe PDF shows up in my list.

Been using as is for about 12 years... Not sure how to add one to the plotter manager list.

@iant123DM83S sorry my fault. Try the inbuilt PDF printers instead. You can see them listed in the image I posted (they're the ones immediately below the highlighted printer)

Umm, no: that driver would be very unique to you and no one else, even if they had the same exact name.

Where did you get such advice from? AutoCAD comes bundled with 5-total PDF drivers.

So your issue with with ADOBE/READER, nothing else? AutoCAD/LT cannot correct anything in another program, try a different PDF viewer, like your browser for example.
Send it to someone not using Acrobat to view PDFs.

Do you have the LT2025.0.1 or LT2025.1 updates installed?
What about trying all the other PDF drivers in LT2025?
What changes on your system or Adobe or PDFviewer and more since"...some months now no problems..."?

And did you test LT2024? Your subscription give you access to that and more.

Thanks for your help team... I took hwalker advice and downloaded patch
Acad2025.1 [install successful]. My tech guy reloaded Adobe. But I have not
solved yet, still having pdf issues.

EXPERIMENT [why I think it is CAD related]. I can create a PDF using
microsoft word and it opens perfectly [repeatable experiment, opens as many
times as I open and close, and stays open.]. If I create a PDF document from
AutoCAD, it fails [4 second open, then vanishes].

A workaround I am using is to open an older PDF document: MENU / HELP /
REPAIR INSTALLATION [wait about 45 seconds to do its thing].... That works
[temporarily]. Works for ONE TIME only, but if I open a SECOND time, it
disappears quicker than Jesus at Pentecost. It has me stumped. Thanks for
trying guys. My tech guy is relocating shop. Will let you know how it goes
wen we get to it early next week. Have a great weekend!
