PDF IMPORT ISSUES

Hello,

I recently ran into a problem where I cannot import pdfs into cad. I believe this issue is only on my computer since my other co-workers can insert pdfs in the same dwg that I'm trying to insert pdfs. please let me know if there's any way I can resolve this issue, it will be a huge help.

THANKS IN ADVANCE,

❤️ ELI

Hi Eli @elIANNA73F4R,

That sounds frustrating. While I am not familiar with this error, it looks like it is indicating the PDF may be damaged or an unsupported format or that another application is tying to Open it rather than import it.

The things I would check:

  • Confirm which application is sending up the error. While it may be occurring on import, I don't see the AutoCAD symbol on it, and something is trying to open the file.
  • See if your coworkers can import the same PDF files you are getting the error with.
  • What is the source of your PDFs versus theirs? If created on a different system, application, or version, test importing their PDF files.
  • Are you using the same version of AutoCAD as your coworkers? Check updates also, from the ABOUT command.

If you are still seeing the error after checking these, you might consider testing resetting the AutoCAD user profile (see How to reset AutoCAD to defaults).

Please let us know if that helps.

All the best,

Are your coworkers able to import the same exact PDF you are trying to use? Find out.
Which LT version you are running?
Can you share that PDF here? We all do what you want all the time with no issues.

Hi,

Both of our systems are the same, they have been importing the pdfs for me since I'm not able to.

You opted to not actually answer my two other questions:
1) Which LT version you are running?
2) Can you share that PDF here? We all do what you want all the time with no issues.

1. Autocad 2022 LT

2.  I cannot share pdf 😞

1) 2022.1.1 is the latest variant: if your ABOUT command does not show this then you need to get that update installed. Restart your computer afterwards, then try it all again. If you already have it, then reset your LT2022 and see if that helps.
2) Too bad, not much anyone here can do for you then. If the above did not help, start a support ticket through your subscription portal as explained here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/support-options#:~....

Good luck.
