This is a bit of an oddity, but sometimes when mirroring an object, it doesn't recognise my "Y" command or the option just won't change to Yes - I've even tried clicking on it.

Think it's a bug?

"sometimes" usually means you have something else going on at the same time: there is no universal fix for it.
Is this something you can repeat on demand? Is it specific to only some DWG files perhaps?

Hello, I'm having the same problem that the Mirror command will not accept Yes for erasing original objects in a mirror operation.  I am mirroring a large drawing file of a house in model space that has all the layers turned on, thawed and not locked (I previously saved the original complex layer state in the layer state manager before mirroring).  I can't think of anything else that would disrupt the mirror command--this has always worked in earlier versions of ACAD in other large house files like this one.

@COLORADODREAMHOMES Could you clarify so we can replicate it here please: "will not accept" means what please? I recommend you expand your commandline to 5-10-15 lines tall and see if you can observe any alerts or messages offered.

Or do you simply mean your Y then <enter> at the commandline are just ignored while your mirror action is taking place in the drawing space (not finished regenerating for example)?

Found the problem: I wasn't waiting long enough for the whole data base to be selected before the Yes option would work--it took more than five minutes on a quad core i7 with 32 gigs of ram to get finished (!), usually almost instantaneous for everything.
