Offset distance wrong and random

Hi,

We are having an issue with the offset command within AutoCAD LT 2017.

When we specify the distance, say 25mm, the actual distance is entirely random, and different each time. this has only started since the most recent update. 

We can draw and create other items as intended, however it is only the offset tool that has this issue.

Any help is much appreciated

Is this a problem in ALL files, even if you start a new one, or just this one single file?

And how exactly are you measuring the distance after the offset?

Hi, sorry for the late reply.

The issue occurs on just one of the workstations, and in all files.

We're measuring with both dimensions, dist and drawing new lines. The offsets are visibly wrong, by a large amount. It's as if when typing in the number to offset by, its not seeing it as the distance in mm/units.

If it's happening to all files on just one workstation, that suggests either something is wrong with your Windows or AutoCAD installation.

Do a repair reinstall of AutoCAD. Does that make the problem go away?

Post a DWG file with this problem: add enough notes in the file in an area to walk us through how to repeat the problem.

The issue is now resolved, ironically, it was merely a setting that has become unchecked, rechecking resolved the issue.

Not sure who had changed the letting, however.

I have rechecked that dialogue box as well but still it gives random  and wrong distance in every dwg file in open Pls Help me.

When you put dsettings as command, go to dynamic settings and make sure 'Enable pointer output' is also ticked apart from the one on the right as already mentioned above. This solved the problem for me.
