Mtext Help!!!

I have a drawing with 3 different scale vports (3/32", 1/4", 1:1). The width of my text was fine until I inserted a 1:1 keyplan into model space. (I need to freeze/thaw different areas so it had to be in model for the different tabs/sheets).

Here's the problem. I lost the width on all my mtext! Instead of the 14' +/- width it had in model space it is all now 4"!!! Even worse, upon fixing it, as soon as I close and reopen the drawing it is back to the 4" width!  The text is annotative in the dwg.

Anyone seen this before...and have a clue how to corect?

Thanks in advance!!!

Critique: why is your title separate from your list numbers/letters, and separate from your body of text? That's multiple/many Mtext floating objects gingering loitering adjacent each other in each text box. Each text box can be one single Mtext, and only your circles can float. Explore the full abilities of MTEXT, avoid the ransom-note writing method of old.

For some inexplicable reason, you have Dynamic Columns turned on in each of your many Mtext objects. Your file also has 6-errors.

I know.....messy drawing. I did not create it....not is it my style. I'd just like to find a resolution as to correcting it without starting over.

Thanks. I know how to format properly tho. My question is, what caused it? All the mtext changed after I inserted the 1:1 Key plan.

Sounds like your suggestion is to redo all the mtext...NO columns?

Thanks

Since you don't need columns (you only have one, boxed in a frame, at many locations), why set it inside each Mtext?

Dynamic columns feature should only be turned on when you want to do just that, write MULTIPLE columns of text in one Mtext object (not for a single column).

Simply go into each Mtext object and turn it off on the toolbar or right-click and select what you need, NO COLUMNS option (sadly, since there are a half-dozen of more Mtext objects inside each box dues to the crazy method of creation of the notes it's a longer task).
