Moving objects small distance

Anonymous
Not applicable

When moving an object a small distance say 1" I have to zoom in to do it.  If I am zoomed out a fair distance. When the move command is executed the object just goes back to the original position.  I have object snap setting set at .5

Thanks for any help

It sounds like you need to switch off your running object snaps before picking your destination point.

Pressing F3 is one way to switch running object snaps on & off.

See here also for more information:

You might also need to switch off your grid snap with F9. (Which I think is what you say you have set to .5)
