Model and Layout tabs are missing

Good evening, purchase new computer. Installed 2018 LT and a few issues are driving me bananas.

1st The model and layout tabs on the bottom left are missing. How do I recover.

2nd The model and paper space button n the ribbon at the button right doesn't operate. I click on it and it doesn't switch. If I type model in command line the drawing will switch. 

Any and all help is appreciated.

With the help of the forums, I was able to find the answer to the first issue. Thanks to all who have posted.

The button at the bottom merely opens a current viewport in paperspace. It uses the .MSPACE command - whereas using the MODEL command switches your TILEMODE to modelspace.

Hello Warren, thank you very much for the prompt response to my question. It has been along day and to be really honest, I was dreading getting a new computer because I was very comfortable to the old one and the software was set. I'm making this harder then it is and am going to step back from it for  the rest of the night. Muchas gracias!
