Missing Pages when publishing multiple layouts.

Hi all,

Recently started a new position and have been using some features that I'm not super familiar with.

My issue is that when I have completed several layouts and go to publish them ["Select All Layouts" > "Publish Selected Layouts" > "Publish to PDF" > "Publish"] the PDF set always appears to be missing a random number of pages as well as a random selection. Generally it will be missing two pages typically from the beginning of the set. When I have the "Publish" window open it indicates that all the sheets were loaded with the green check and "No errors" stated. Any help would be greatly appreciated, as having to individually plot and publish missing pages and insert them into the PDF can be quite time consuming when I have a lot going on.

Thanks in advance for any help.

-Kelly M

1) your exact LT version as listed in ABOUT command is...?
2) OS is...?
3) Are you "background publishing" by chance?
4) Publishing to which driver?
5) Are you introducing a different pagesetup from another/template file?

AND...
6) do you remember to SAVE all the files that are part of the set before you PUBLISH?

Hi @sage9HN5X,

I see that you are visiting as a new member to the AutoCAD forum. Welcome to the Autodesk Community!

A little more information will help narrow down the cause:

  • What printer/plotter is selected in the PDF in the Publish window?
  • Do you get same results when different printers/plotters are selected?
  • Are you seeing the No Errors in the Publish dialog window or after the plot completes?
  • If you right click on the printer icon (lower right) and select View Plot and Publish Details, do you see any errors (it might look like the one below or similar):

All the best,

1) Version: T.53.0.0 AutoCAD LT 2023
2) OS: Windows 10 Pro [Version: 21H2    Build: 19044.1706]
3) Background publishing is selected as the default right now, yes.
4) Publishing to PDF.
5) No, am not introducing any additional templates or files.
6) Yes, Save constantly and always before publishing.

Thanks for the quick response.

In addition to the other questions from the Autodesk staffer...
1) your LT2023 is not fully updated: it should be T.72.0.0 LT 2023.0.1 (restart your PC afterwards).
3) turn off background publishing and try again.
4) test with one of the other 5 PDF drivers provided.

Thanks for the warm welcome, Cheryl.

1. The "Publish to" is set to "PDF" and the "PDF Preset" is set on "AutoCAD PDF (General Documentation)"

2. I will try using another plotter and see if I run into the issue.

3. Correct, Whenever this error occurs CAD is giving me no errors, either in the initial plot window or in the post-plot notification pop-up.

Thanks,

Kelly M

Cheryl & Pendean,

Thanks for your assistance and time. I seem to have solved the issue by switching the value of "BGCOREPUBLISH" from "ON" to "OFF"

Thanks so much!
