LT user looking for help importing an SKP file

I am an AutoCADLT user looking for help importing an SKP file.  I have some 2-D floor plans and exterior elevations that were created in Sketchup Pro.  I have been attempting to export those drawings from Sketchup as either .DWG files or .DXF files, but the drawings Sketchup exports are distorted.  Lines are not orthagonal, the scale is off and, most problemmatic, the drawings are slightly skewed such that I can't fix things by simply rotating and scaling.

AutoCAD LT does not allow plug-ins from what I can tell.  I am writing to see if someone would be willing to use their full AutoCAD version to import my SKP file and then share it with me.  I would greatly appreciate the help.  Also, it appears that this forum will not allow a .skp file to be attached to this post.  If anyone can help, then please let me know how I can get the file to you.  Thank you so much.

Bret,
If you Zippola your SKP file, this Forum will accept it.

No SKP support in LT, sorry. But Pointdump seems to want convert the file for you.

Upload your DXF file too!

Perhaps the file is ok, but you missing some setting!?

Or the SketchUp settings aren't well for the export - we will see.

You need SketchupPro to export to DXF/DWG https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkEYDwFkHWM , or you need full AutoCAD with a freebie add-on to import SKP https://apps.autodesk.com/ACD/en/Detail/Index?id=5947739119625287617&

In LT, you will have to rely on the kindness of others for a one off conversion, after that you'll need to work on a game plan for a solution.

That's a great idea!  I've attached a zipped file.  Thank so very much for offering, and let me know if you have any questions about it.  Again, thank you!

Bret,
OK, I've never imported a SketchUp file, so this is interesting. I downloaded and installed the free >>>SketchUp Import 2016-2019<<< and then imported your SKU File. It asked for Insertion Point and then Opposite Corner(Scale?). So you'll probably need to Scale this Drawing. Attached.

Dave,

Thank you so very much for your help. I downloaded your file and it scales perfectly with no distortion.  Hooray!  There are a lot of "3-D faces" which I can't explode and erase.  I'm going to look into how to deal with those (perhaps flatten the drawing somehow) and keep just the lines I want.  I've never been on this forum - I'll have to do it again.  It's a blessing to find help for something like this.

Sincerely,

Bret

Bret,
"There are a lot of '3-D faces' which I can't explode and erase."

I forgot about possible limitations of LT. I Exploded several times until all that remained was the 3D Faces. Then I converted all I could to Regions, then Re-Exploded. I've never used SketchUp Import before and also never worked with 3D Faces or Regions. Anyway, here's what's left. Attached.

Command: REGION
Select objects: Specify opposite corner: 5788 found
5621 were on a locked layer.
Select objects:
167 closed, degenerate or unsupported objects rejected.
0 loops extracted.
0 Regions created.

Bret,
"...perhaps flatten the drawing..."
I also tried the FLATTEN Command on those 3D Faces.(Does LT have that Command?) Drawing attached.

Pointdump, thank you so so much for sending the flattened file.  Flattening the file was the way to go.   It's a pretty easy cleanup job of the file now.  Many thanks!!!
