LT 2018 Copy not working

Hi,

I am trying to copy and paste a drawing from another LT 2018 file onto one that I am working on now.

It lets me copy the drawing but when I go to the one I want to paste it on, it doesn't let me paste it.

I don't know if I locked a setting or something, would appreciate any tips.

Thank you!

What is the commandline reporting as the problem? Find out, tap F2 or CTRL+F2 and see what the program reports.

And do you have more than one session of LT2018 open, or just two files open in one LT2018 session?

Well the command center didn't say anything when I tried to paste it.

I have two files open in one session of AutoCAD. Is that what is wrong? Do I need to open two sessions?

One session is the preferred method, I was checking: are both DWG files 2018dwg file format, or is there a difference?
Can you copy/paste from the source file into a blank new file?
Can you copy/paste within the source file?
Can you copy/paste within the destination file?

Yes both files are 2018dwg format, I can copy and paste from source into a blank (first image), the source file I can copy and paste into ( second image),

the destination file will not allow me to paste.

(Sorry for the small pictures takes snapshot of both screens)

FYI: Windows 7 and later includes a screen capture tool. You can also use ALT+PrintScreen to grab a screenshot of only the application with focus.

I can't tell from your screenshots what is going on: they all appear to be a copy of the same screenshot too. But it looks like you have something here, too small perhaps.

If you are going to post screenshots we need to see the textscreen open in the destination file.

I think RKM meant you should be using this instead https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-capture-screenshots

Thank you for all the advice, I was able to paste it to the file I wanted, I saved and closed all the programs and restarted my computer and now it works.

I have no idea what caused this. Thank you for all of your time.
