lines across my drawing

All of my drawings have lines all over them (eg connecting words and objects). They are not real lines (ie they don'e print) but the make it very hard to see what I am doing.
How can I fix this.

Can you post a screenshot, so we can see the issue?

My guess is you are using unsupported graphic card. If this is your problem, you can try to deactivate hardware acceleration.

Turn off LINESMOOTHING and LINEFADING variables: explained in HELP, explore there for more details.
If that did not fix it, start GRAPHICSCONFIG command and start unchecking boxes and see if that helps.

If that did not fix it, post the DWG file here as the lines may be something else altogether.

Thank you Edwin.  That is exactly what it was.  Yesterday afternoon I upgraded my graphics card and then last night before my eyes the problem cleared with a message about deactivating hardware acceleration.  All back to normal now.  Thanks again.

Thank you Dean.  I have sorted out the problem after lots of trial and error.  It ended up being the graphics card.  After I upgraded it the problem went away.  I am relieved to have sorted it out.  Thanks again.
