Insert georreferenced Aerial image

Anonymous
Not applicable

hello

I was used to inserting georeferenced aerial images in AutoCAD Civil 3D, but now I have switched to AutoCAD LT (MAPIINSERT command).

How can I do the same process in AutoCAD LT? is there any way?

Thanks

I think it will not be the same. i have a raster geotiff with world file (tfw) and the command mapiinsert reads the raster coordinates and place it automatically in the correct (projected) map coordinates.

Accepted solution

AutoCAD LT does not include the mapiinsert command. That command is part of AutoCAD MAP.

Friend, you are comparing $2300/yr dedicated civil/mapping C3D to $400/yr general use not-designed-to-any-specialty LT, so yes, the abilities are going to be drastically reduced by a significant amount.

If you need C3D or Map3D for your tasks, its time to upgrade (or convince the boss to upgrade).

Good luck.
