The default line width is whatever you have set it in either the .stb file or the .ctb file that you use for plotting.
At the command line type STYLESMANAGER. Then double click on the one you use to plot drawings.
If it's a CTB file click on TABLE VIEW and then you can see the line width there.
If it's an STB file they can either have a default width or use the width that the object in the drawing is set to.

Lineweight in AutoCAD can display in Layer Manager ( if it's not display in yours , right click at any tab and select it to make it active ) . also by LWEIGHT (Command) you can control the default lineweight >> Click << . to display or hide Linewweight on your screen click the icon below a the status bar . >> Click <<
