HAVING A PROBLEM

WAS ALL  FINE, WORKING ON DRWG THEN ALL OF A SUDDEN I CAN NO LONGER DRAW A LINE WHILE ORTHO IS ON UP OR DOWN, ONLY SIDE TO SIDE...AND ALSO STRECH AND MOVE COMMANDS WILL NOT ALLOW ME TO MOVE OR STRECH UP OR DOWN A LINE, ONLY SIDE TO SIDE.

Sounds like you have either a side view selected or maybe your UCS is set to a 90-degree angle.

Type 'ucs' <enter> 'w' <enter>

and then type 'plan' <enter><enter>

you need to press enter twice after the plan command to accept the default 'current' and close the command

But you might end up with just a straight line as you drawing. We cannot see how your settings are and if you have been drawing for a while in a different plane you are having problems. It would be best to save the drawing and post it here, so someone could check it and see for sure what the problem is.
