Flatten 3D file

I have a 3D file I need to flatten. I have tried moving everything to 1e99 and back to 0. That flattens the file but it doesn't change some of the attributes of the lines. An example is one line that I know is 3degrees, shows up visually at the proper angle but when I check properties on that line, it shows 270, the angle the line was originally drawn at in the 3D file. Is there a way to get all lines 2D and their properties correct to the new layout? Thanks Paul P

Select everything, use PROPERTIES command to sort through entity types and override whatever the Z settings say to zero (even if LT is reporting zero). -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --

Dean, I tried that but it is still reporting the wrong "angle" The angle it is reporting is the one in the plane of the paper not the one on the x axis ?? Dean, Attached is the dwg I am having problems with. It originated as a 3D drawing. I flattened with move all to 0,0,1e99 and then moved all back to 0,0,0 The top line (black) shows an angular property of 90 The next line (green) slopes from bow to stern by 1 degree. But the angular property shows 270. This is the plane that the line was originally drawn in the 3D drawing. Any suggestions how to get the properties to actual 2D info Thanks Paul P "Dean Saadallah" wrote in message news:416bda87$1_1@newsprd01... > Post a sample file for someone here to look at. > > -- > Dean Saadallah > Add-on products for LT > http://www.pendean.com/lt > -- > >

Your drawing is not flat, or 2D, and rotated around the Z axis. INSERT this file into a 2d template file of yours, Zoom Extents and catch the 18 entities floating out far left, and the rest of your drawing that shows up as a vertical line far right of screen. DVIEW your file, twist your model, and see it. -- Dean Saadallah Add-on products for LT http://www.pendean.com/lt --
