FATAL EROOR - Raster Image Reference

Images, eg photos (as JPEG files) no longer show in AutoCAD.  The outline of the image is there (an empty box) but no image.

There is no path shown inside the box either to show where the image is reference from.

If i try to open up the external reference dropdown, or insert a new raster image reference, i am just met with the following error message and the whole thing shuts down.

"AutoCAD LT Error Aborting

FATAL ERROR: FATAL ERROR: (0x60700005) C:\ Program Files\Autodesk\AutoCADLT2012 - English\acismobj18.dbx"

I have tried reinstalling and had a look through the FAQs with no success.

Thanks.

Just to add, I am on Windows 7 Professional, 32 bit Operating System, 2.5GHz CPU, 4GB RAM (3.17GB usable).
And never had a problem with this before.

This happens in ALL files, or this one DWG file?
This happens with ALL raster images you try and use, or this one raster image?

Test thoroughly and find out. Otherwise you seem to have a corrupt LT2012 install and you might benefit from a repair reinstall of the program.

All files (DWG), even older drawings that i have opened up where i know i could see them before.

Happens with all images, (JPEG files) be they photos or scanned images etc.

If i ask anyone else to open the drawing they can see the images fine.

This is a relatively new phenomena, inserting images into drawings is (was) common practice.  I cannot work out what is now different.

Besides the usual automatic microsoft updates i have not changed settings, installed new software, updates etc.

Forgot to add, tried a repair reinstall.

May uninstall completely and try again from scratch to see if that does anything.

Thanks
