Error using Autocad LT 2002

I'm getting this error message as soon as I open a .dwg file in Autocad 2002 LT on Windows 8.1

Any drawing, or only a certain one?  If this is happening with every drawing, then what changed on your system, in between the time it was working okay, and now?

LT2002 is not new, and it is not supported in Win8.1: so what has changed with your setup since the last time it all worked?
