Dont see cursor in mtext-window

Hello,

after installing ACAD LT 2002 i switched the backgroundcolour from white to
black.
After this changing i see a white cursor in a black background except in the
mtext-window (cursor is also black).
I have a Pentium 4 with Win98 and a NVIDIA MX-200 graphicadapter. How can I
make the cursor white?

Thanks for help.

The text colour from within the MTEXT window is taken from the layer colour.
If the background colour for AutoCAD is set e.g. to white and the present
layer has also a colour white, the MTEXT window will display a white
background with text written in white.

Workaround: Change either the colour of the present layer or of the
background.

I see the text and the blinking cursor in the mtext-window, but I dont see
the cursor
of my mouse, and if i change the background colour into white then I see my
cursor of the
mouse but I want the backgroundcolour black.

OPTIONS>DISPLAY tab>COLORS button: Model Tab Background set to black, Model
Tab Pointer set to White, Layout Tabs Background set to Black, Layout Tabs
Pointer set to White. Click on Apply & Close. Click OK on the OPTIONS
windows to close it.

With those settings, on all of my machines with different video cards I have
ever used or set up, the Mtext Window background is black, text is whatever
color, the only cursor visible is one that looks like a capital I in Times
Roman font, and it is colored white, about the size of the standard text
letter in Mtext. Is this what you are getting too? If it is, your setup
works fine and as intended.

If not, then your video card's color white 'temperature' is too low or you
got other video card display issues. In which case you need to get into the
driver in Windows and start tweaking (get updated drivers too and see if
that helps).
