Continuous Feature Symbol

Surely this has been asked and answered and I'm just failing at searching, but:

I can't find the Continuous Feature symbol. Surely there's one somewhere?

This is LT a very generic and basic drawing package aimed at everyone. A Continuous Feature Symbol sounds very specifc and industry related and probably found in one of the vertical products of Autocad.

LT has no built in symbol libraries, though you might find something in the samples folder, or you can create your own and populate a toolpalette or toolbar with them or probably even find a whole list on the Internet.

Hi @JLeeSaxon,

This symbol is not a part of AutoCAD LT by default. However, you can certainly create this on your own.  I made a quick block for you as a starting point. I hope this helps.

Thank You! Yeah, just using a custom block is what I've been doing.

It's not a major inconvenience to move that around separately but it really is a shame that this isn't available. I don't think it requires a symbol library at all; I think this could be part of the GDT font just like diameter or depth symbols. It probably also ought to be an option in the Tolerance dialogue - an area that I think Autodesk needs to devote a lot more attention to in general. QLeaders are just the worst. There needs to be an AutoCAD IdeaStation so I can beg for MultiLeader Tolerances.

>>>... I think this could be part of the GDT font just like diameter or depth symbols...<<<
Find a font that has this built in and use it (TTF ideally), or create your own font with that in it (Full AutoCAD, no LT) http://www.ellenfinkelstein.com/acadblog/create-shapes-to-insert-over-and-over/
https://www.lynda.com/AutoCAD-tutorials/Creating-custom-shape/123542/132836-4.html

There is no need to find an idea and then wait 1-5-10-20years for it to happen from Autodesk, if it ever will.
