Chamfer not working - "Lines are parallel" when they're really not

Hi there,

I've been using the Chamfer tool for a long time now and it's very important and useful tool for me. However, after the holidays I came back to work and for some reason it's not working like before - I'm used to drawing lines / xlines and Chamfer them to make sure they are of the right angle and joint. However, when I'm trying to Chamfer two unconnected lines which are perpendicular to each other, the function wouldn't work and says "Lines are parallel" (See attached pic).

Anyone can help with my issue? I tried to search for a long time but it didn't seem like someone else had this problem before?

Thank you very much!

Hard to say without your sample drawing, and/or watching a ScreenCast of you doing it.

What happens if you use Fillet, Radius 0.0 instead?

Is the problem only in the one file with only these elements? Did you trst in other files or with other lines in the same file?

LIST command says what about the lines you select?

You can dig a little deeper and let us know, or post your DWG file here and point to this area so we can try it.
