Cannot open drawings from email attachments

I have just upgraded from 2005 LT to 2008 LT. I deal with a large volume of drawings via e-mail, and often manage drawings in e-mail folders in Outlook. Previously, I was able to access and open drawings directly from the e-mail. After upgrading to 2008, I get error message saying "cannot find the specified drawing file. please verify it exists".

I presume there is an issue in working from temporary drawings. Is there a work around or do I need to save my drawing attachments before trying to open them?

Opening straight from an email has always been a bit dodgy.

The best way is, like you say, to save the file to disc first, whether
it is to your desktop or another temporary folder, then open it.

got same problems as you before. try use e-transmission , we are successes at this way, but no idea why it is happed

Thanks for that. Don't suppose it's really such a big deal. Interestingly, I have since discovered that if I actually open the email, I can open the attachment - it just doesn't work when using the preview pane in Outlook... strange.
