Hello all,
I've searched these forums but i cannot seem to find the right answer.
The issue i'm having is this:
I'm editing a drawing. In this drawing, every object has a z-value or elevation of -366.
I already got my entire drawing to a elevation of 0 by using "QSELECT" and edit every elevation to 0.
But when drawing new lines, the elevation of these lines will also be -366.
When using the "ELEVATION" command and setting its value to 366 all the elevation values will be 0.
When looking through the properties panel, it says normal z-value -366.
I cannot find a solution to put all z-values, current and new, to be 0.
Can you help me, because editing every line after drawing is pretty annoying.
Thanks in advance

Hi,
Here are the things to check:
You are still facing the problem? Then please provide us the drawing for testing.
It sounds like your UCS is set at Z=-366, try setting your UCS to 'world'. Just type 'UCS' <enter> followed by 'w' <enter>, does that make things better? If not then post your dwg and we can see what is going on, 'elevation' is a variable and if it is set to anything other than zero then new objects are drawn using that elevation value for the Z height (relative to the world UCS).
Thank you for your help.
I aligned my UCS to some objects to make drawing easier, but this object was also at z-value -366.
Resetting my UCS to "world" did it.
Thank you for your help

Yup that would do it, new objects are always drawn on the current UCS, but the properties panel will always show coordinates relative to the world UCS.
I totally forgot that I'm LT forum😆
