AutocadLT 2020 Layer properties bug

Hi, I am using Autocad LT for the first time and I am facing a problem with the layer properties. The software allows me to rename and create new layers but suddenly freezes when I try to change the color and thickness of the line. I know for sure it's not my computer's fault. I have also tried to download different versions of the software but the problem persists. Thanks for your help.

Do you have the LT2020.1.3 update installed? It is required but it does not install itself ever. Start ABOUT command to check your LT version.

I just downloaded the 2022 version and the issue remains. Is there any update for this version of the software that could fix this bug?

Good to know LT2022 exhibits the same issue, that means your system is missing something, but first:
Can you confirm the issue exists in ALL dwg files, not just one?

In LT2020.13 (assuming you installed the update by now, if not, do so), turn off hardware acceleration: does that help stop the issue?
