Autocad Revision #

I am looking for a way to extract or export the revision # from a drawing to an excel or text file.  Can this be done automatically when the drawing is saved or the revision # is changed?

You could use a block attribute and the 'attext' command. Or a datalink and an AutoCAD table to link directly with an Excel file, and use the datalinkupdate command.

What you cannot do in LT is have that automated on save or updated revision number, that is something you have to do manually using the commands shown.

Thank you very much.  Attext worked well.
