AutoCAD LT 2020 - Unisolate command does not work

I used the isolate command to isolate a couple of layers. When I try to unisolate the rest of the layers all at once, they remain locked and the unisolate command does not work. Is there a fix for this?

Are you using 'isolate' (only works on objects, not layers) or 'layiso' which does work with layers, the respective commands then are 'unisolate' (only works for previously isolated objects), or 'layuniso' which works for layers.

The layiso command locks other layers, the layuniso only unlocks the layers that you locked using layiso it won't affect the settings of layers locked using the layermanager icons.

If you still have problems then describe the steps (and the actual commands you are using)

Hi,

You need to turn off the layers other than the layer which is isolated.

To do that you need to type in the command "LAYISO" and then select "SETTINGS" from the command line.

Now select "OFF" to turn off the layers that are not isolated.

And again select "OFF" to turn off the layer in paperspace.

Now the LAYISO would only isolate the selected layers, and the other layers would be turned off.

It did appear to save the OP's question. If you are having problems then the issue is probably something else. It might be an idea to start a new thread and describe what is different about your situation that is different.

@Anonymous, I've discovered that if you use the ACA ribbon, the unisolate icon is mapped with the wrong command. So they've mapped the Isolate one correctly with the LAYISO command:

And then the Unisolate one with UNISOLATE instead of the correct LAYUNISO:

I've manually changed it in the CUI, and now it works.

Hope that helps

Can you explain how you did this? I have been having the same problem intermittently.

He wrote about another, an offtopic issue in an offtopic software

and you are using an Architecture version with this bug ?

(the Icon starts another command, so you oress&release the button, pressed [F2] and the started command is not "_LAYUNISO")

If so, the command to edit your .cuix files is: CUI

Ribbon, Panels, LAYER - ACA, row1
