AutoCad LT 2007 Lost activation

An AutoCad Lt 2007 install at my company that has been in use for years recently lost its activation, not sure if I need a new activation code or what to do to get this working again

Installation and Licensing forums can be found here.

What does it mean lost it's activation? Does it say it expired? Is it just not working as in won't even load? Have any changes been made to the computer it is on like upgrade to windows 10?

its a windows 10 pc and worked on that os until a recent upgrade, now when you launch the program it wants to be re-registered and won't take the prior activation code

LT2007 is not supported in Win10 and never ever will be https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/autocad/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Windows-...

That means Autodesk expects you to get a current version of AutoCADLT to use in Windows10.

These folks offer free tips to try and make it work, they also sell a fix if you feel you need to stick with your old LT2007 and Windows10 http://www.longbowsoftware.com

As I thought was probably the case and also mentioned by Dean, windows 10 is the problem. Lots of people have been using older versions of autocad for years on windows 10 with no issue. However it is a pretty common occurrence that at some point it just stops working or does not work correctly. It's usually an update to windows that causes it but it seems some people survive a particular update while other don't. It must depend on other variables like other installed programs that changed registry values or whatever.
